Every octoja release is versioned, so you can always tell which version of the platform you are on and see what changed in each release. This article shows where to find your current version and where the changelog lives.
See which version you are running
octoja shows the current platform version directly in the interface:
- In the app — hover over the octoja logo at the top of the sidebar. The current version appears as a tooltip.
- On the sign-in page — the version is shown on the login screen, before you sign in.
Everyone in your instance runs the same platform version — octoja is a hosted service, so there is nothing to install or update on your side. This is the version of the platform itself. To see the agent version an individual device is running, see Update the Agent.
See what changed in each release
The changelog lists every release together with its new features, improvements, and fixes. It is published on the octoja feedback portal:
Each entry is labelled with its version number (for example v1.0.1355) and grouped into New, Improved, and Fixed, so you can scan a release at a glance.
Find the release a completed feature request shipped in
Feature requests live on the octoja feedback board at feedback.octoja.de. When a request is marked Completed and the change ships, it is announced in the changelog for that release.
To find the exact version a completed request shipped in, open the changelog and look at the releases published around the time the request was completed — the change is listed there under New or Improved. Comparing that version number with the version you are running tells you whether the change has already reached your instance, or whether it is in a newer release than yours.
