This article defines the main objects and terms used in octoja, from customer structure to monitoring results.
Object hierarchy
The main objects are organised in a hierarchy:
IT Provider
Customer (the managed organisation)
Site (an office, branch, or location)
Device (a workstation, server, or other monitored system)
Check (a recurring monitoring test)
Key terms
For all other terms, see the glossary: All Terms A–Z.
Typical flow
An IT provider creates a customer record.
They add one or more sites and register or deploy agents on the relevant devices.
Checks run on those devices at defined intervals.
Checks report their results back to octoja, where you can see the current state at a glance.
