Set Your Profile Preferences

Open Preferences in My Profile to choose the start page that opens after sign-in and to decide whether devices open in a new browser tab.

Personalize how octoja opens

Your profile includes a Preferences section where you can tailor a few things to how you work — including which page octoja opens after you sign in and how devices open from a list. These settings are saved to your account.

Open your Preferences

The Preferences live on your profile page.

  1. Click your account menu and open My Profile.
  2. Scroll to the Preferences section.

Each preference is saved as soon as you change it — there is no separate save button for this section.

Choose your start page

The Start page setting controls which page opens after you sign in. Use the picker next to Start page to choose one of the following:

  • Dashboard
  • Cases
  • Devices
  • Customers
  • Patch Cycles

The picker only offers pages you are allowed to open, so the list may be shorter depending on your permissions. If your chosen start page later becomes unavailable to you, octoja opens the Dashboard instead.

Open devices in a new tab

The Open devices in a new tab toggle changes what happens when you open a device from a list. When it is turned on, opening a device from a list opens it in a new browser tab, so the list you were working in stays put. When it is off, the device opens in the same tab.
