This page lists the keyboard shortcuts available in octoja.

On macOS, replace Ctrl with ⌘ and Shift with ⇧.

Global shortcuts

These work on every page.

Ctrl+K	Open the command bar
Ctrl+B	Toggle the sidebar

Command bar shortcuts

These work while the command bar is open.

Tab	Cycle to the next search scope
Shift+Tab	Cycle to the previous search scope
Enter	Select the highlighted result
Ctrl+Enter	Open quick actions for the highlighted item
Escape	Go back one level, or close the command bar
Backspace	Go back one level (when the search field is empty)

These shortcuts are available when viewing or editing a single item.

Page actions

Many pages register their actions in the command bar, and some of those actions carry their own shortcut. These work while the command bar is closed — the shortcut is also shown next to the action inside the command bar.

Ctrl+N	Create a new item, on list pages that offer a create action (for example Customers, Users, or Groups)
Ctrl+S	Save your changes, on edit pages that offer a save action (for example your Profile)

Toolbox (remote terminal and file explorer)

These shortcuts are available inside the device toolbox popup.

Ctrl+Shift+T	Open a new terminal tab
Ctrl+Shift+E	Open a new file explorer tab
Ctrl+Shift+W	Close the active tab
Ctrl+Shift+L	Open a new event log tab
Ctrl+Shift+R	Open a new remote desktop tab
Ctrl+C	In a terminal tab: copy the selected text — with nothing selected, the interrupt is sent to the remote shell as usual
Ctrl+V	In a terminal tab: paste from the clipboard

Inline editing

These work inside editable text fields throughout octoja.

Enter	Save the edited value
Escape	Discard changes and exit editing
Ctrl+Enter	Save (in multi-line text fields)
