Find Your octoja Version and Changelog
See which version of octoja you are running and where to find the changelog — including how to tell which release a completed feature request shipped in.
Every octoja release is versioned, so you can always tell which version of the platform you are on and see what changed in each release. This article shows where to find your current version and where the changelog lives.
See which version you are running
octoja shows the current platform version directly in the interface:
- In the app — hover over the octoja logo at the top of the sidebar. The current version appears as a tooltip.
- On the sign-in page — the version sits below the sign-in form, before you sign in. It is a link: click it to open the changelog.

The tooltip adds a build reference after the version number. The release number is the part before the +, and that is the number the changelog uses.
Everyone in your instance runs the same platform version — octoja is a hosted service, so there is nothing to install or update on your side. When a new release goes out while you have octoja open, a message tells you a new version is ready and asks you to reload the page. This is the version of the platform itself. To see the agent version an individual device is running, see Update the Agent.
See what changed in each release
The changelog lists every release together with its new features, improvements, and fixes. It is published on the octoja feedback portal:
You can also get there from inside octoja: in the header, open the menu beside Feature Request and choose Feedback portal, then open the Changelog tab. The same entry appears if you press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac) and look under Help. Either route signs you in to the portal on the way.
Each entry is named after its release (for example v1.0.2403) and opens with Highlights, a short summary of what the release is about, followed by New, Improved, and Fixed, so you can scan a release at a glance. A release that changes monitoring checks adds a Checks section. To hear about each release without checking back, use Subscribe to updates at the top of the changelog page.
Find the release a completed feature request shipped in
Feature requests live on the octoja feedback board at feedback.octoja.de. When a request is marked Completed and the change ships, it is announced in the changelog for that release.
To find the exact version a completed request shipped in, open the changelog and look at the releases published around the time the request was completed — the change is listed there under New or Improved. Comparing that version number with the version you are running tells you whether the change has already reached your instance, or whether it is in a newer release than yours.
Monitoring checks work differently. A new or changed check reaches your devices once that check itself is published, separately from the platform release it is listed under — so for an entry in the Checks section, comparing version numbers does not tell you whether it has arrived yet.
The check library shows each check's current version, but has no separate per-check changelog or version-history view. Look for published check announcements in the platform changelog's Checks section. If the change you need is not described there, ask support and include the check name and version.
