Set Your Profile Preferences
Open Preferences in My Profile to set your theme and language, pick the start page that opens after sign-in, and choose whether devices open in a new tab.
Personalize octoja for the way you work
Your profile includes a Preferences section with four settings: Theme, Language, Start page and Open devices in a new tab. Language, the start page and the new-tab choice are saved to your octoja account, so they follow you to whichever computer you sign in from. The theme is kept in the browser you set it in.
Open your Preferences
The Preferences live on your profile page.
- Click your name at the bottom of the left sidebar to open My Profile.
- Scroll to the Preferences section.

Each preference is saved as soon as you change it — there is no separate save button for this section.
Choose your theme
The Theme picker sets the color scheme of the octoja interface. Pick Light, Dark or System. System follows whatever your operating system is set to and switches along with it.
Because the theme is remembered in the browser rather than in your account, set it again when you sign in from another browser or another computer.
Choose your language
The Language picker sets the language of the octoja interface. The options are English, Deutsch, Français, Nederlands, Italiano and Español. Your choice is stored with your octoja account, so octoja opens in the same language wherever you sign in.
Changing language through the Ctrl+K command menu also saves it to your profile and persists after reloading.
Choose your start page
The Start page setting controls which page opens after you sign in. Use the picker next to Start page to choose one of the following:
- Dashboard
- Cases
- Devices
- Customers
- Patch Cycles
The picker only offers pages you are allowed to open, so the list may be shorter depending on your permissions. If your chosen start page later becomes unavailable to you, octoja opens the Dashboard instead.
Open devices in a new tab
Turn on Open devices in a new tab to keep the device list open while you view a device in a new browser tab. The toggle is off by default: devices open in the same tab.
