Wortmann Warranty
Monitor the hardware warranty of your Wortmann/TERRA devices through the Wortmann service portal.
The Wortmann Warranty check shows how long a Wortmann/TERRA device's hardware warranty remains valid. The octoja agent reads the device's serial number, looks it up on the public Wortmann/TERRA service portal, and reports the product, warranty period and days remaining. You choose whether to raise alerts before expiry and which status to report for an expired warranty.
The check runs on Windows devices (x64 and ARM64), every 24 hours by default. Everything it needs is read on the device itself: serial number and manufacturer come from the system's own inventory data, you enter no serial number and no credentials, the device needs no additional software, and the only outbound request is the portal lookup the agent performs.
Prerequisites
- The check needs outbound HTTPS access to www.wortmann.de. Without it the lookup fails and the check reports a failure rather than a status.
- Assign the check only to Wortmann/TERRA hardware. octoja ships a built-in config package template Wortmann / TERRA Warranty that targets devices whose manufacturer contains Wortmann or TERRA and assigns this check to them automatically.
Settings
Both thresholds count backwards from the warranty end date. If you set the warning value lower than the critical value, the check swaps the two so the wider window always raises the warning first.
Results
What the check reports
Warranty data comes from the Wortmann/TERRA service portal and reflects what is on file there. octoja does not set or override it.
What the statuses mean
With the defaults, the check warns 90 days before expiry and becomes critical in the last 30 days. Remaining days are calculated using the current UTC date. The expiry date itself still uses the pre-expiry evaluation; Expired warranty applies only afterwards.
When the check can't run
These outcomes concern the lookup, not warranty expiry. The first three raise a warning; the others are check failures. Warranty expiry settings do not suppress these messages.
If the portal has no entry for the serial number exactly as read from the device, the check automatically retries with a leading R, a common form of TERRA serial numbers.
