Mount Point Free Space
Monitor free space on Windows volumes that are mounted to a folder without a drive letter.
The Mount Point Free Space check monitors free space on Windows volumes that are mounted to a folder and have no drive letter, such as a data volume mounted at C:\Data. The Disk Space check monitors drive letters, so it does not cover these volumes. The check runs on Windows only (x64 and Arm64), every 15 minutes by default.
Steps
- Go to Devices and open the device.
- Click the Checks tab → Add Check → Mount Point Free Space.
- Adjust the thresholds if needed. You do not select any volumes: the check finds all of the device's folder-mounted volumes itself.
- Click Add Check.
Alternatively, assign the check with a config package.
Settings
If Warning free space (%) is lower than Error free space (%), the check swaps the two values before evaluation.
Results
The overall result is the worst result across all monitored volumes. For each volume the check shows the mount path, the volume label, capacity and free space in GB, and free space as a percentage.
If the device has no folder-mounted volumes, the check reports OK with a hint that there is nothing to monitor.
Monitored volumes
- Only local disk volumes without a drive letter are monitored. A volume that has a drive letter is skipped, even if it is also mounted to a folder.
- Volumes without a mount point, such as EFI, recovery, or reserved partitions, are not monitored. The check shows how many were skipped.
- The check queries the volumes through PowerShell. The query has a fixed time limit of 30 seconds.
