Lenovo Warranty

Keep track of your Lenovo devices' warranty end date and plan an extension or replacement in time.

The Lenovo Warranty check shows a Lenovo device's warranty end date so you can plan an extension or replacement. You can also display the dates without expiry alerts. The check runs on Lenovo Windows devices every 24 hours.

Prerequisites

  • A Lenovo Windows device with a connected octoja agent.
  • Outbound HTTPS access from the device to pcsupport.lenovo.com. The check reads the serial number automatically and uses it for the warranty lookup.
  • Monitoring Check Management and access to the device to assign the check.

Steps

  1. Open the device under Devices and select Checks → Add Check → Lenovo Warranty. For multiple devices, use a config package.
  2. Choose the alert behavior (see Settings).
  3. For information-only reporting, turn off Alert before warranty expiry and set Expired warranty to OK. Turning off the toggle alone does not prevent alerts after expiry.
  4. Click Add Check. Its result shows the product, serial number, warranty dates and remaining days.

If the critical day threshold is higher than the warning threshold, the two are swapped before evaluation.

Results

The check uses warranty dates reported by Lenovo; it does not extend a warranty.

Lookup problems remain visible even with information-only reporting: a non-Lenovo device reports a warning; a missing serial number, missing warranty data or a failed Lenovo lookup reports a failure. Check device assignment, the serial number and internet access rather than changing expiry thresholds.
